Interoperability between the TerraPop and DataNet Federation Consortium projects is being developed through a two-week visit by Pranjul Yadav to Chapel Hill. A data grid will be developed to support TerraPop data products and federated with the DFC federation hub.

DFC is participating on a panel about: Demonstrations of Data Discovery, Access, and Sharing Tools In addition, the DataNet Federation Consortium will demonstrate access to remote repositories from a collaboration environment. Data will be retrieved and used within research workflows. The data and workflows are sharable, enabling collaborators to reproduce scientific results by re-executing the analyses.

The DFC is participating on a panel led by the SEAD project: VIVO Use-Cases for Collaborative Science: From Researcher Networks to Semantic User Interfaces for Data - Robert H. McDonald, William Barnett, John Erickson, Hao Xu and Reagan Moore The use of the VIVO interface for the DataBook project will be presented in a poster by Hao Xu.
